OICHE GHAEILGE AGUS CHULTURA - ST. PATRICK'S EVE
A traditional Irish Family Night was organised for St. Patrick's Eve, 16th March, 2010, in Ahamilla. The GAA, Camogie and Ladies Football Clubs, in conjunction with the GAA Cultural Committee, decided in late January to organise this night for both people's enjoyment and also to donate the proceeds of same to the Haiti Disaster Fund. Lots of talent performed on the night, including children from local schools and young Comhaltas Ceoltoiri members from surrounding towns. Everyone was delighted to see such a high standard of performance. Lots of craic was in abundance and great night was had by all. The organisers would like to give a special mention to John Fitzgerald and Aengus for all their hard work on the night.
