CLON LADIES IN ACTION
On Sunday 7th March Clon Minor ladies travelled to Kinsale to take on the locals in the 2009 West Cork final.  The match was played on a bitter cold day but the Clon girls put in a hot display of football.  Clon dominated the game from start to finish and ran out comfortable winners.  Great credit is due to Kinsale who kept going right to the last whistle.  Clon had girls who played in last years Junior A All-Ireland final and these proved a handful for Kinsale.  Clon gave a great team display and its hard to pick out girls who gave that extra bit which makes the difference.  Marie O'Donovan demonstrate an awesome display of clinical finishing and along with Sinead O'Neill and Beulah McManus must be serious contenders for the red jersey of Cork.  Coming through the underage ranks then, Anna O'Hea and Laura O'Regan also indicated their potential with their performances.  Every girl it has to be said put in a fine day's work.

Panel: Anna O'Hea, Emer O'Donoghue, Laura O'Regan, Niamh Deasy, Beulah McManus, Aine O'Leary, Sinead O'Neill, Hollie Hayes, Ellen Hall, Aine O'Donovan, Sorocha Crowley, Aoife O'Neill, Marie O'Donovan, Ellen Hayes, Jenny Quinn, Shannon McCarthy, Rebecca Crowley, Aine Lynch, Aisling O'Shea, Lisa Finn, Jamie O'Regan, Valerie Coakley, Laura Ryan.

Congratulations to Hollie Hayes on making the Cork Minor panel.  A superb night was had on Friday 5th March in Ahimilla where celebrations took place for the belated 5 year birthday of the Club.  There was presentations to Rob Lowry and Mary Collins on their engagement, to  Kevin and Mary Finn on the birth of their grandchild and a lady celebrating a birthday with a "0" in it.  A Gaelic for Mums was launched by Eileen Collins and she has arranged for George Young to give a talk on setting up.  This will take place Saturday 13th at 2pm - 3pm in Ahimilla.  This is for all active mature girls and if you are interested contact Eileen Collins on 0877706005.  The u14 blitz concludes this Sunday and again it has proved to be a huge success
