Health & Wellbeing Night in Ahamilla

A very successful Health & Wellbeing night was held in Ahamilla last night and was attended by a large number of club members and players.

Informative presentations were given by AIB on Internet Banking and their long standing association with the GAA. Noel O’Callgahan of the County Board outlined his role and the various challenges facing GAA clubs including gambling, alcohol and drug addictions. Paddy Duggan was next to speak and gave an insight into the work being done country wide and brought back very positive message from the recent GAA roadshow held in Nemo Rangers.

The final speaker was Conor Cusack. A much recognised figure he gave a very positive message about facing his own issues and how help in at hand for anyone that requires it and also outlining the very real and multiple issues that the GAA must come to terms with and ensure their members are adequately looked after.
