Weekly news round up 17th July

An understrength U21C team were well defeated by Dromtarriffee in the County semi-final on Friday last. It was still an excellent achievement to win the West Cork Championship and the team can be proud of their season.

The Junior B Football team take in Goleen in Round 2 of the championship in Goleen at 7.30pm on Saturday next in Church Cross

The U21 A Football championship replay  against St Michaels scheduled for Tuesday was cancelled due to the involvement of Clonakilty player in various Cork teams. The Junior A hurling championship quarter final against Dohenys was also cancelled for the same reason.

Best wishes are extended to David Lowney in advance of the Munster U21 Hurling final against Limerick on Wednesday 26th July and to Mark and Sean White who are involved with the Senior Football team against Mayo on Saturday.

The U16 Football were defeated by O’Donovan Rossa in a high scoring league encounter. The U14 football team advanced to the league final thanks to a comfortable win against Bantry Blues in Ahamilla on Sunday last.
