In a low scoring and tight second half both defences began to get on top. Carrigaline still trailed by a point after 45 minutes. In a tension packed last 10 minutes Clon were two points up entering injury time. Clon hald out in the end to deny Carrigaline the goal they desperately needed to run out narrow but deserving winners 1-11 to 0-13.
