We are currently seeking to hire a full time Manager to operate the commercial and facility aspects of our business and to develop the business to its full potential.

Job Description

As an equal opportunity employer, we are seeking a person with strong organisational skills and business acumen the grow the existing business. This is a full-time role, and the job will involve managing the Gym, enrolling new members, and ensuring our clients receive a quality experience. It will also involve managing the booking of and payment for the use of the Astro Pitch. The Manager will be responsible for organising and running teenage discos but will be supported by Officers and Members while fulfilling this duty. The Club Bar, which is opened for occasional events, will also come under the responsibility of the Complex Manager. The Manager will be responsible for monitoring the energy meters and issuing invoices to and ensuring that any issues raised by the commercial tenants are addressed.
The role will also involve the office administration ensuring that invoices are paid in a timely manner.

Job Summary

Reporting to the Club Commercial Officer, the Complex Manager will ensure that all commercial aspect of Clonakilty GAA Club is run efficiently and deliver the best commercial outcomes. Robust recording and reporting systems for all financial transactions are in place and must be maintained daily. Weekly and monthly reports must be prepared and submitted on all commercial activities. The Manager will ensure that the building is properly maintained and that all necessary servicing and maintenance is carried out in a timely fashion.

As much of the activities will take place in the evening time, flexible working hours will form part of the contract.

Qualifications and Skills

The candidate will need to be highly motivated, have exceptional inter-personal skills and have good IT skills. The Manager will need to be a good communicator with an ability to work on their own initiative with good problem-solving capabilities. The selected candidate will be expected to adjust their working hours to meet the demand of the position. A third level qualification is not a requirement for this position but would be an advantage.
While similar management experience is not mandatory, it is a definite advantage.
