Parish Leagues 2023 – Football
A massive day of Football was had in the club on Saturday (June 10th) at our 2023 Parish League Finals. Over 300 children from Under 6 to Under 12 from the Clonakilty GAA and LGFA clubs showed off their footballing skills to a large crowd of parents and supporters, and our Social Football Group got in on the fun as well.
A massive thank you to the parents, mentors, coaches and most especially our young players for making the day so special. A very big thank you to our sponsors (Main Club Sponsor Clonakilty Blackpudding, and Main Event Sponsors: Global Shares – A JP Morgan Company and The Opinion Magazine.)
Finally we could not let the day go by without remembering a legend of the sporting field who left us far too young Cork dual star Teddy McCarthy, our flags flew at half mast and a minute’s applause in honour of the legendary Gael was immaculately observed, rest well Teddy.
