Match Report: Clonakilty Under 14 footballers started their Division 1 league campaign with an emphatic win over neighbours Ibane Gaels on Sunday. Playing with a strong wind at their backs in the first half, Clon started very strongly and with first half goals from Shane O'Regan (2), James Murnane, John Deegan & Prince Iyalla, the result was clear by the half time break. Man of the match Shane O'Regan was unstoppable all over the field, but it was a great team performance from every one of the Clon lads, kicking an impressive 10 points from play in tricky conditions while defending in some style, especially in the second half when playing into the strong wind.
