rnClonakilty full forward James Murnane scored the opening goal from the very first play of the game to set Clon on their way and he scored the final point of the game to rescue a draw for his team after a great fightback from the 'haven team. Spectators were treated to a thrilling game of football with heroes on every line, not least of whom was goalkeeper Ben McCarthy Shields & fullback Patrick Hennessy who were immense when it mattered most. Both teams had chances to win the match, but with a minute left on the clock it was Castlehaven who had edged a point in front, until a clever move involving Des Keneally & Ryan O'Donnell resulted in a free for Clon 35 metres out directly in front of goal. Up stepped man of the match James Murnane to assume responsibility and kicking into a difficult breeze, he calmly slotted over the equalising point.
