Match Report:
Another very solid performance from our U14 hurlers this evening in the final group game of the hurling competition.
Right from start to finish the lads showed excellent hurling abilities in testing conditions. Scores came early from Emmett Curtin, who had a really good performance on returning from a season threatening injury sustained in an earlier round, his brother Fergal, Des Kenneally and Matt Murphy.
As the first half wore on Sam Maguires came more into it. Our 6 backs and goal keeper again performed very well as a unit, keeping opposition scores to a minimum.
At half time, Clon led 2-8 to 1-4.
With Sean Coffey and Shane O’Regan beginning to take control in mid field, Clon tacked on a few excellent scores in the second half.
Well done to all the lads this evening, a well deserved semi-final against Cloughduv awaits.
