Ladies Football Club

A  Chairde,

On behalf of Clonakilty Ladies Football, I would like to extend a warm welcome to viewers of our club website. Our club was formed in 2004 and since then we have had great success at West Cork, County, Munster and All Ireland level. We are in the great position of being able to field teams at U8, U10, U12, U14, U16, U18, U21, Junior, Senior and of course Gaelic for Mothers. It is a wonderful social outlet both on and off the pitch for girls of all ages and the wonderful facilities at Ahamilla enhance the enjoyment gained by all. We as a club have the honour of hosting the Munster 7s which brings junior, intermediate and senior teams from all over Munster to Clonakilty in the month of June. This is a great opportunity to see some of the top footballers in Ireland perform on the local stage.
A club of course cannot function without excellent officers and a strong vibrant committee which indeed we are blessed to have. We also have many volunteers who give selflessly of their time as mentors and trainers which is another example of the community spirit that prevails in the Clonakilty area. We have a great working relationship with the Clonakilty GAA club, Clonakilty under age club and Clonakilty camogie club and long may that continue. We also want to take this opportunity to thank our sponsors without whose financial support we would not be able to exist.
Life is all about enjoyment and sport is central to all aspects of enjoying life. We hope that you will enjoy keeping up to date with everything that happens in the club by visiting our website on a regular basis.

Beir bua,

Donall O’Coileain  (Cathaoirleach)
